What A Privilege–Wandering Around An Empty Olympic Park

At the Games, I am working at a combination of the Velodrome, BMX Track and Basketball Arena (they are all next to each other). It means that I have a 20 ā€“ 30 minute walk from the Park entrance at Stratford right across the length of the Park. Working this week, with the sun shining and the Park not yet open the public I was struck by how impressive it looked and how privileged I was to have this access.

Games Makers (volunteers) have been asked not to share photos they take of the Park and the buildings until after the opening ceremony. So, Iā€™m now able to share my favourite photos ā€“ it will be so much busier next week.

Go to the Games if you can, be excited, support Team GB ā€“ and enjoy the photos.
