What A Privilege–Wandering Around An Empty Olympic Park

photo

At the Games, I am working at a combination of the Velodrome, BMX Track and Basketball Arena (they are all next to each other). It means that I have a 20 – 30 minute walk from the Park entrance at Stratford right across the length of the Park. Working this week, with the sun shining and the Park not yet open the public I was struck by how impressive it looked and how privileged I was to have this access.

Games Makers (volunteers) have been asked not to share photos they take of the Park and the buildings until after the opening ceremony. So, I’m now able to share my favourite photos – it will be so much busier next week.

Go to the Games if you can, be excited, support Team GB – and enjoy the photos.
